52. Stafford Lake Park

Happy Presidents Day! For those out there who have today as a holiday, Stafford Lake Park is a perfect destination. It has so much to offer: fantastic disc golf course; stocked fishing lake; hike/bike trail; playground; volleyball courts; picnicking; and softball fields. You can also reserve specific picnic areas, which makes the park a favorite location for company picnics and large group outings. To reserve a picnic area, click here.

Don’t forget, a fishing license is required  for anyone 16 years or older. It’s easy to purchase on-line, and you can get a one-day license for just $14.04. Click here to buy your fishing license online.

Stafford Lake Park is just west/northwest of Novato on Novato Boulevard, very easy to find. There’s free parking and restrooms, too. The one drawback – no dogs (except service dogs).

Where: 3549 Novato Blvd., Novato 94947 (map)
