Did you know that twice a month there are ranger-led events at Marin County Parks and Open Space locations throughout Marin? This Saturday the 12th is March’s first Ranger Event, “Flora of the Tiburon Peninsula”. A ranger will lead the hike and serve as the interpretive guide along the way. It will be held at Paradise Beach Park, which I wrote about yesterday (click here for post).
There are a number of really wonderful aspects to this event, especially when cash is in limited supply:
- It’s free!
- Parking and entrance fees are waived when you’re attending this event!
- It’s great for the family!
- It’s great exercise!
- It’s beautiful (bring your camera)!
- It’s educational!
- It’s fun!
So, show up around 8:45 because it starts at 9:00. It lasts until about 11:00. You can bring your dog, but it must be on a leash. Meet in the upper parking lot (drive past the entrance booth and go straight).
Rain cancels the event (none is forecast).
