109. Priscilla’s – Inverness

If you’ve made a day’s outing to Point Reyes or the west side of Tomales Bay, chances are you’ve worked up an appetite for a great meal. There’s no need to hurry back home when you can stop at Priscilla’s in Inverness and have a fabulous seafood meal.

The restaurant itself is intimately scaled, and there’s also a charming outdoor dining porch. This works well both on warm days or with the heaters on during cooler weather. It’s also the part of the restaurant that welcomes canine companions.

The many windows flood the interior with natural light, while the white-washed plank walls and open rafter ceiling, combined with the warm wood floors and bar create a nice but not over-the-top seaside atmosphere.

But, of course, atmosphere is just one part of the story. The heart of the matter lies with the food, and their seafood is really good. I especially like the crab and avocado enchiladas and fried oysters. They always have a good variety of fresh local seafood, and of course they have organic beef burgers for non-fish lovers.
