The Marin History Museum‘s summer series of San Rafael Historic Walking Tours kicks off this month on May 21st and runs every month on the 3rd Saturday through September 17th. If you’re a history buff and have wanted to know how San Rafael got started, who the important leaders were, who the lesser but still important characters were, and what the critical events were, this is for you. And, if you love learning about local architectural history, you’ll see that as well.
The tours start at the Marin History Museum and wind up at the Falkirk Cultural Center where you get the added bonus of complementary refreshments. At that point, you can join a second tour, this one of the Robert Dollar Mansion at the Falkirk Cultural Center, for an additional fee.
