136. Rising Stars Art Show

The 20th Annual Marin High School Art Show, “Rising Stars” is on exhibit now at the  Marin Art & Garden Center Gallery, in Ross. The show features art work from 14 high schools, public and private, throughout the county. There are a wonderful variety of media represented, including paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics and sculpture. It’s amazing how skillful these young artists are. Some of the work looks like it is created by someone with decades of experience.

The Gallery, which is operated by the Marin Society of Artists, is a great location for the exhibit, because the space is good gallery space, and the setting is perfect. You walk in through the gardens where artists are sprinkled about the grounds drawing and painting. They have adult artists exhibiting there, too, in separate areas of the gallery, which include a Crafts Gallery and a Rental Gallery.

The show runs through May 28th, and it’s free! Exhibits in the Main Gallery change monthly, and I’ll be writing about other interesting shows in the future.
