It is amazing to me that a number of rock groups and their music that were hugely popular when I was a teenager have continued their popularity unchecked with each new decade of teenagers. The Moody Blues is one of these groups and next Tuesday they’re performing at the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium. There are still good tickets available, not the very best, but the 2nd and 3rd tier quality. Nevertheless, the theatre is small, and there really are no bad seats, particularly compared to the stadiums where these groups have played countless times in the past.
The Moody Blues were part of the famed “British Invasion” bands of the ’60’s, and they are the oldest continuously performing band other than The Rolling Stones (which is older by 6 months). But, they perform far more than the stones. This year’s tour lasts two months and takes them to 34 cities across the country. They have no plans of slowing down, and really enjoy performing with live audiences.
So, buy your tickets online or at the box office, and go enjoy the show!
