149. Terra Linda Community Pool

You might not know it from our current cooler-than-usual weather, but Memorial Day weekend marks the official start of Summer. We start thinking about the summertime activities we love and, if the weather ever does heat up, we’ll also be looking for ways to cool off. One of the best ways to kill two birds with one stone is to head to a great outdoor pool, and the Terra Linda Community Pool definitely qualifies.

There are actually two pools here – a large lap and diving pool and a smaller tot pool. They both been redone recently and have lots of great features:

Lap / Recreation Pool:

  • 3′ – 9.5′ deep
  • Infinity Edge (fewer waves for lap swimmers)
  • Diving Board
  • ADA Chair
  • Picnic Tables
  • Chaise Lounges
  • Locker Rooms & Showers
  • Snack/Drink Vending Machines
  • Shaded Seating Areas

Tot Pool:

  • 2 Spray/Fountains
  • “Zero” Sloping Entry
  • Up to 1′ deep
  • Up to 6 years old

There’s a kids swimming team, the Orcas, that’s ongoing from March 1st and runs through July 8th. Private lessons are also available.

The pool is packed on hot Summer days with cars lining the surrounding streets. Ride your bike there if you can!
