Don’t let the name fool you – The Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station is not a dance hall, but a multi-faceted community center bringing all sorts of performing arts, classes, community events and programs to West Marin. It’s got an inspiring history you can read about here.
This Saturday it’s got two great comedy acts performing. The first is well known Bay Area comedian Frank Olivier, who does a zany combination of unicycling, juggling, magic, prop comedy and more. I saw him on America’s Got Talent this season and he’s very funny – a real crowd pleaser.
Also performing with Frank will be Marin puppeteer Bob Hartman, who is well known for his hilarious performances at the Mountain Play, the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival and who started and has a great audience in San Francisco as well. He is credited as being “probably America’s funniest puppeteer” and has a wolf puppet doing stand-up comedy that is not to be missed.
