165. Wipe Out Bar & Grill

Some restaurants are a natural draw in good weather, and the Wipe Out Bar & Grill is one of them. I like to eat outdoors whenever possible, and they’ve got a great outdoor dining area that is perfect for the warm nights we’re starting to have. I was there recently with friends sending a colleague off on her cross-country relocation, and it was the perfect spot for a lot of friends getting together for drinks and a bit of noshing.

They’ve got a huge menu, including sandwiches, burgers, and main dishes, but what I like is their pizza – with chewy raised pizza dough and plenty of cheese. My favorite pizza, that I haven’t found anywhere else, is their “Buffalo Chicken” combo, which has grilled chicken, chopped green onions, crumbled blue cheese and buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce is the vinegary, spicy sauce that you usually find on buffalo wings (hence the name). I definitely recommend this pizza.

I do know that it’s not a locally owned restaurant, which I usually prefer, but nevertheless it’s fun and a good spot for casual gatherings involving lots of friends and outdoor drinking and dining.
