167. MAGC Summer Concert Series & Ross Farmers Markets

Thursdays in Summer are active days at the Marin Art & Garden Center in Ross. Things get started in the afternoon with their Farmers Market. This is a relatively small affair, but one I really like because it’s got a high quality group of producers, including specialty vendors of prepared foods. If you’re in a hurry and can’t stay for the music, and it’s easy to get in and out and have dinner ready in just minutes afterwards. It runs from 3:00 – 7:00.

The music starts at 5:00 and there is a wonderful line-up of bands throughout the Summer. They play ’til 7:00, with a different genre each week, from Rockabilly to Brazilian Jazz.

It makes a perfect evening to stop in about 4:30, shop for your dinner, spread out on the lawn by 5:00 and enjoy eating, drinking, listening and relaxing for the next couple of hours.
