169. MarinScapes Gala & Art Show/Sale

Have you ever driven by this place on Magnolia Avenue and wondered what the heck it is? Well, it’s the Escalle Winery, and it is the venue for the 23rd annual MarinScapes, a fine art show and sale that features images of Marin. Over the next two weeks, it will be transformed into a Tuscan hillside setting, with a gala opening evening of elegant dining and drinking, followed by a two-day weekend art show and sale.

MarinScapes is the creation of the Buckelew Programs, a non-profit serving Marin, Sonoma and Napa Counties to help provide housing, jobs and support for people suffering from mental illness. It is the only fine art show in California to feature just Marin images. Proceeds from the gala evening event and the art show and sale help fund their efforts.

Many of the artists will be present for the art show and sale, so that they can meet and talk with people who come to see the art work. There will be over 40 artists and photographers represented and prices will run from $100 – $5,000, so there is something for just about everyone.

The dinner features Tuscan farm style cuisine by Stacy Scott (yum!), with complimentary wine and beverages. The Art Show ticket includes wine, beverages, cheese, crackers and fruit (for $15, that’s a heck of a deal).
