Fairfax Farmers Market

Marin is enjoying a gorgeous August with warm days and evenings, so it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the outdoor markets we have throughout the county, and create a wonderful dinner for dining al fresco. I stopped by Fairfax’s Farmers Market today to grab some fresh produce, cheeses and a few baked goods for our evening fare and there’s plenty of time for you to stop by – it’s open ’til 8:00 p.m. And, if you can’t make it tonight, it’s held every Wednesday, through September.

The Fairfax Farmers Market is located in Bolinas Park, at the corner of Bolinas Road and Elsie Lane, with towering redwoods forming a gorgeous backdrop. There are booths with breads, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, frozen fruit pops, prepared foods, etc. It’s not a huge number of booths but the quality is high and the setting is so lovely, that it’s definitely worth a visit.

Where: Corner of Bolinas Road and Elsie Lane, Fairfax, CA 94930 (map)

When: Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
