205. Sand Dollar Restaurant
Wasn’t the weather just fabulous this weekend? We wrapped up an afternoon of exploring the coast with dinner at the Sand Dollar Restaurant in Stinson Beach, with the sun still shining but the fog rolling in. The Sand Dollar is right on Highway 1 in the middle of town, and has both and indoor dining room with a lively bar, plus outdoor dining on a large outdoor deck.
There’s music nightly; Sundays is bluegrass. The two musicians playing bass and piano tonight were great, and the music adds a great flavor to a very lively and friendly ambiance. Check the calendar for the schedule of performers.
The menu is primarily seafood (surprise!) but they’ve also got a grass fed beef burger – very tasty – steak, and some pasta. They serve lunch and dinner, and brunch on the weekends. The menus are extensive.
The food is very good, the service friendly and prompt, and you just can’t beat eating outdoors in a seaside town for making you feel like you’re on vacation, even if you’re not!
