223. Corinthian Island

Corinthian Island is a tiny isle adjacent to Tiburon but part of Belvedere, with just three streets. It makes a wonderful walking outing, following the very narrow roads around and up and over the top. There are so many beautiful views along the way of different peaks of Belvedere Cove, Angel Island, San Francisco the boats on the Bay. At the very tip is a lovely look-out, with benches for resting and a railing for leaning.

Since there is almost no public parking on Corinthian Island, and large cars can be a challenge to manoeuver around the tight bends, I recommend parking along Main Street in Tiburon or in the parking lot behind Ark Row. Then, walk up on Bellevue and enjoy the views to the west of Belvedere Cove and the sailboats coming in and out of the San Francisco Yacht Club marina. Walking the whole island is under a mile, but has nice inclines for a bit of a work-out.
