303. Holiday House

Every year West End Nursery has a fabulous Christmas extravaganza “Holiday House” with room after room of all things Christmas. It opens officially next Saturday, November 4th, with Christmas goodies to nibble on and drink, but I took a peek today to see it before the crowds descend. My verdict is that if you need anything related to Christmas, your 99% guaranteed to find it here.

West End Nursery started 102 years ago, and its retail buildings include what was the old barn as well as the old farmhouse. Holiday House is largely housed in the old farmhouse part of the store, and every room in it is filled with decorated Christmas trees, each with ornaments of a different theme. The Christmas tree themes include wild animals, dogs, pink little girl things, sweets, angels, baby, newlyweds, travel, and cowboys.

There is everything you need for a Christmas party, including party poppers, paper goods, ribbons, gift bags, glasses, platters, cake plates and cookie jars, and aprons. The home decorating items are also limitless, including wreaths, door bells, stars, sleighs, Christmas tree aprons, Santas and nutcrackers of all sizes and styles, reindeer, Christmas stockings, upholstered benches, gingerbread house kits, tea towels and pillows.

Holiday House is open through Christmas and come see it while it’s still so wonderfully stocked.
