With the rain likely to continue on and off tomorrow, an indoor activity is a great way to still get out but stay dry. And with the holidays and lots of gift-giving ahead, one good option is to head over to St. Stephens in Belvedere for the annual Art Angels Home & Garden Fair, a wonderful marketplace of handcrafted and locally designed personal, home and garden items. In addition to making some great purchases and crossing off names on your gift list, you’re helping to support a number of community outreach programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Boy Scouts and Homeward Bound, to name a few.
There are dozens of vendors offering goods from gorgeous children’s clothing to whimsical clay ornaments to outdoor pottery and fountains. I love being able to choose something special for someone, and then have an interesting story to tell along with the gift, such as “I met the artist who lives here in Marin and thought you’d love her designs” as opposed to “I found these at a counter in the mall on the day before the gift exchange party.” 😉
