Rossetti Pizzeria is a little pizzeria that opened earlier this year on the main street of the “locals” downtown Sausalito, and came highly recommended to me by several friends. It’s run by a Roman – Maurizio Rossetti – who has created a sleek spot in the middle of the restaurant-row side of Caledonia Street.
A perfect meal for me starts with the beet salad, and then goes on to the Gruviera pizza, which has gruyere cheese, carmelized onions, pancetta and thyme – delicious. Of course, a glass of Barbera d’Asti is a must alongside.
I must admit that I enjoyed hearing the owner and other patrons speaking Italian while we dined; perhaps it made the meal taste even better…
