Regardless of the season, it’s always a good time for gelato, and Noci in downtown Mill Valley is hard to beat. The gelato and sorbetto are awesome – extremely tasty, locally sourced, and organic. Plus they regularly introduce new flavors appropriate to the season or just because. So, for example, if you like “Pumpkin Spice”, you’ll see it on the menu around Thanksgiving. Cinnamon and Cardamom come are seasonal flavors too (cinnamon is gone right now, cardamom and banana are here). In the summer they have sorbetti in a variety of fresh seasonal fruit flavors and right now they have blood orange – all refreshingly delicious!
The line is often quite long but moves quickly and the servers are all really friendly and helpful, gladly giving suggestions, opinions and tastes. There are tables inside and the atmosphere is very modern and brightly lit. They offer cups and cones of gelato, sorbetto and soft serve yogurt.
Prices are not cheap, but then again it’s not a daily habit (not yet, anyway) so it seems worth it for a high-quality splurge.
