80. Rancho Nicasio

Rancho Nicasio Restaurant and Bar is an long-established and much beloved restaurant and live music venue in the heart of Marin County, on the town square in Nicasio. This is the place to find absolutely top notch live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, year round.

The way it works is that you check out their music calendar on line (click here), find the show you want to see, call them and make a reservation. You can reserve just the show, or dinner and the show. They’ll take your credit card for the ticket reservation, and they run it to hold the tickets. They will let you cancel up to 24 hours prior to the show and they’ll refund your money. They also recommend that if you’re having dinner there before the show that you book dinner reservations for about an hour to and hour and a half  before the show.

They really get great acts, in all styles of music. This week’s schedule:

Friday: Windshield Cowboys (“Gourmet Western Music”)

Saturday: Volker Strifler Band (“Original Blues and More”)

Sunday: The B Stars (“Hillbilly Swing”)

Friday and Saturday performances start at 8:30 and Sunday’s usually start at 5:00 (sometimes 4:00). Occasionally there’s a private party and there’s no music performance, but that’s not common.
