I had a wonderful end-of-day get-together at Jason’s Restaurant in Greenbrae tonight with my friend Andie. I’ve eaten there many times, for lunch, dinner, special events, and just drinks & appetizers. Tonight was the latter – well, it was Friday, right? and with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while…
We ate on their wonderful outdoor patio, which is semi-protected with heavy clear plastic “walls” that they lower to keep the wind out, and heat lamps if it gets too chilly. We were there for Happy Hour (Monday – Friday from 3-6), which was great because they’ve got an extensive hors d’oeuvres menu and solid wine and beer options at inexpensive prices.
Their food is high quality, and their seafood is particularly good. Tonight we had the Hawaiian Poke, Calimari and Bruschetta – all excellent. They pour a very generous glass of wine, too, and the service is genuinely friendly and attentive.
One of the unusual offerings the restaurant also has is a banquet room, which is ideal for business lunches, networking events, and classes. They don’t charge much for the room at all, they’re really easy to work with to get things booked, and the food they serve is really high quality.
