246. Sausalito Art Festival
The renowned Sausalito Art Festival runs this whole weekend starting today at 10:00 a.m. This is one of the biggest Marin art events during the year, with over 275 artists exhibiting over 20,000 works. At this 59th annual event there will again be a festival store where you can purchase the official 2011 Commemorative Poster (shown below), in addition to posters from past festivals, or you can go to the online store and get them there.
In addition to the visual art, there will be live music on two stages all three days, with 22 performances of varied styles including opening act Men Without Hats (“Safety Dance”) and closing act Kenny Loggins on Monday afternoon.
If you can, ride your bikes because parking is limited and you may have to walk a ways. There is free bike valet parking. If you’re coming from the City, you can take the Blue & Gold Fleet ferry from Pier 41.
No dogs, no outside food.
