Tonight was one of those clear, crisp, and dark nights where the view from the Sausalito waterfront looking over at San Francisco is as spectacular a view as you can get anytime, anywhere. We were lucky enough to have our company (McGuire Real Estate) holiday party and dinner tonight at Ondine’s – a Sausalito landmark private party venue – that has this view from every one of its wrap-around plate-glass windows.
You really can’t imagine a lovelier spot to gather together for delicious food and unparalleled ambiance created by the sparkling San Francisco skyline, Bay Bridge suspension span illumination, and lighted ships sailing in and out under the glowing Golden Gate. I hear that this coming year Ondine’s will get a new rooftop deck for America’s Cup Racing viewing while Horizon’s, the restaurant on the first level, will reopen as Trident, the name of the restaurant in the counter-culture 60’s and 70’s.
Parking can be a challenge, but they offer valet parking, plus you can usually find a spot within a couple of blocks. And, it’s always fun to walk in Sausalito and enjoy the view as you do. So, when you’re thinking about a venue for the next “nice” party you’re planning, remember Ondine’s.
